Diagnosis and Treatment
Marilyn was diagnosed with "a form" of lymphoma in the beginning of October 2011. Her symptoms leading to the diagnosis may have been muddled by a streak of bad luck beginning in the early spring with salmonella and lymes disease, but persisted on until pains in her abdomen brought her to the ER and resulted in a series of tests identifying lymphoma. Further review of the cancerous cells found the exact culprit, Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
Marilyn has begun a series of six treatment sessions, three days in a row, to start to; as her doctor said "kick the shit out of the lymphoma".
